You can find out more information about sending an International Telegraphic Transfer by visiting the Member's area.
Payment through a UK bank account
This payment option is available to residents of the UK or British citizens residing overseas who hold a bank account in the UK. Deposits
Before bidding for vehicles on the USS Auction network or Yahoo! Japan auctions we require a minimum initial deposit to be made to your J-bidders account. In the case of motor vehicles as with all other items this deposit should be at least 50% of the estimated final bid price. So, for example if you're looking at an auction which ends in 5 days and your maximum price for the vehicle is let's say 400,000 yen, then you should place a deposit of at least 200,000 yen in your account. Deposits can be made by PayPal, credit card or bank transfer in Japanese Yen or in the case of payments made to our UK bank account in Pounds Sterling. As soon as we have confirmed your deposit, you may bid in the auction by completing a bidding request form or by giving us full instructions by email or telephone if you prefer. If you want to bid urgently please contact us, we may be able to give you special permission but this cannot be guaranteed.
We ask that all our customers adhere strictly to our deposit rules, any bidding requests made without sufficient deposit or appropriate permission cannot be placed.
Payment deadlines
For customers purchasing a car or other motor vehicle we request that the full balance including all fees and costs be paid within 72 hours of receiving the invoice which will usually be within 24-48 hours after then end of the auction. Final balance payments may be made by Paypal or credit card if less than 300,000 yen (4% handling fee applies) or by bank transfer. If paying by International Telegraphic Transfer bank we accept a faxed copy of the bank receipt (must be stamped and dated) as confirmation that the payment has been sent. If you already have sufficient funds in your J-bidders account to cover the total cost of your vehicle including all fees and charges, we will ask for your authorisation for automatic payment when we send you the invoice. If you are planning to bid for more vehicles using our service, after your first purchase we ask that you maintain a minimum deposit of JPY 200,000 in your J-bidders account.
Late payment fees
If confirmation of full payment is not received within 72 hours of us sending the final bill there will be a late payment fee of 15,000 yen. If we still haven't received payment within a further 48 hours the purchase will be cancelled and will result in the loss of 100% of the customers deposit. If you are experiencing any problems regarding payment it is extremely important that you inform us of the situation as soon as possible.
Cancellations
J-bidders has a no cancellation policy. When a bid has been placed on USS or Yahoo! Japan auctions it is not retractable. Non-payment for successful bids will result in the loss of 100% of the customer's deposit.
Refund of unused deposit
Unused deposits are refundable. Customers can request the refund of any unused deposit by using the
contact us form. Refunds can be made by PayPal or bank transfer (transaction fees will apply). Please allow 30 days to process refunds. In the case that your bid for a vehicle is not successful you will be offered the choice of using the deposit to bid for another vehicle of your choice.
